Celebrating 10 Years of Photography
I cannot believe that this photographic journey began 10 years ago.
To celebrate this, over the next six months I am going to share some of my favourite images beginning with 2016 - 2017.
I hope you enjoy looking at them.

Dartmoor - Arthur Conan Doyle to Zionism
My first Dartmoor book.
In October 2025 I began to explore Dartmoor, going out for day walks and taking photos. Soon, what began as a small photographic project, evolved into something much more.
I chose to use my Olympus 35mm film camera for this project and to make photographs in black and white.
I think my choice of camera is a response to the ever increasing use of artificial intelligence in photography and a need to distance myself from this. As for black and white photography, I love the mood and atmosphere that monochrome gives you, especially when using film.

In the last few years there has been a huge resurgence in film, with more and more different films being made available at affordable prices. This has allowed me to experiment and find films which suit the type of results I am looking for. My current favourites are the Rollei Retro and Dragon films, especially DragonFilm N°IV which is a Ukrainian manufactured aerial surveillance film, hand rolled by two guys at DragonFilm in the UK.
As the project evolved, I decided it would be nice to make a book. Using my own interpretation of A to Z, I take the reader on a journey from Arthur Conan Doyle to Zionism. This choice of presentation gave me a structure to work with and enabled me to ‘collect’ images for each chapter, two things which appeal to my autistic brain.
For me, this is a book of memories, each photo triggering images of where I was, where I was going,
what I saw on the way...
what I saw on the way...
But this project is just the start of my Dartmoor adventure. There is so much more to explore and so many more memories to collect.
