Ewetopia

During Dorset Art Weeks 2026 Alison will be exhibiting artwork from her latest art project entitled, ‘Ewetopia.’ Throughout the exhibition Alison will also be demonstrating how she creates her artwork.
The project came about because, let’s face it, Alison is passionate about sheep! From the Herdwick to the Jacob, Alison loves them all. So, it was only a matter of time before sheep played a starring role in Alison’s artwork.
‘Ewetopia’ began life in Alison’s sketch book as a bit of fun and soon developed into a collection of drawings depicting the antics of a small flock of adventurous and sometimes mischievous sheep.
Moving on from her initial sketches, Alison now designs and creates ewe-nique pieces of art using layers of brightly coloured card to bring the sheep to life. Initially this small flock of sheep stayed on the farm but their adventures have now taken them to the seaside and also to the big city.
Who knows where the flock will venture to next?

Monochrome Photography - Dartmoor on Film
For Dorset Art Weeks, Alison will be exhibiting a selection of images from her ongoing project photographing Dartmoor using 35mm film.
Acrylic - Jurrasic Impressions
Alison's acrylic work is inspired by the many hours she spends walking along the Jurassic Coast. It reflects the strong emotional attachment she has to the magnificent cliffs which define our coastal landscape but whose very essence is slowly eroding into the sea.
She uses bold colours and a mixture of definite and indefinite shapes to capture the essence of this magnificent coastline, highlighting both its beauty as well as its fragility.

Woodwork
Andy's woodwork is very tactile, sculptural and often decorated. It requires a great deal of precision to achieve clean lines and a uniform pattern. Some of the work may be described as Ornamental or Complex Turning, with the primary technique being guilloché.
